1879-CC Morgan Silver Dollar - PCGS MS-62
Offered here is an authentic 1879-CC Morgan Silver Dollar, struck at the historic Carson City Mint and certified by PCGS as MS-62.
The 1879-CC is an important early Carson City issue from the Morgan Dollar series and represents only the second year of Morgan Dollar production. With an original mintage of just 756,000 coins, the 1879-CC is considerably scarcer than many Morgan Dollars produced at the Philadelphia, New Orleans, and San Francisco mints.
Designed by George T. Morgan, the obverse features the iconic portrait of Liberty, while the reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings surrounded by a wreath. The distinctive "CC" mintmark beneath the wreath identifies the coin as a product of the famous Carson City Mint.
Graded MS-62 by PCGS, this example is certified in Mint State condition with no wear from circulation. The grade represents an uncirculated coin retaining its original design detail and mint character, with marks or other minor imperfections consistent with the assigned grade.
