2024 Morgan Silver Dollar - NGC MS-70 - First Day of Issue
Offered here is an authentic 2024 Morgan Silver Dollar, struck at the Philadelphia Mint and certified by NGC as MS-70 First Day of Issue.
The modern Morgan Dollar continues one of the most celebrated designs in American numismatics. Originally produced from 1878 through 1904 and again in 1921, the Morgan Dollar returned as a modern U.S. Mint issue in 2021. The 2024 edition combines George T. Morgan's historic design with modern U.S. Mint production.
The obverse features Liberty in profile, wearing a cap, flora, and a crown bearing the word LIBERTY. The reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings holding arrows and an olive branch, accompanied by a wreath.
The 2024 uncirculated Morgan Dollar was produced at the Philadelphia Mint without a mintmark. The issue was limited to 275,000 coins, with each coin struck in 99.9% silver and containing 0.859 troy ounce of silver.
Graded MS-70 by NGC, this example has received the highest numerical Mint State grade assigned by NGC. The First Day of Issue designation further identifies this example as having met NGC's special requirements for coins purchased on the first day the issue became available and submitted within the required certification period.
