2011 American Silver Eagle - PCGS MS-70 - First Strike
Offered here is an authentic 2011 American Silver Eagle, certified by PCGS as MS-70 First Strike.
The American Silver Eagle has been the official silver bullion coin of the United States since its introduction in 1986 and remains one of the most widely collected modern U.S. silver coins. The 2011 issue marked the 25th anniversary of the American Silver Eagle program, adding additional historical significance to the date.
The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's celebrated Walking Liberty design, originally introduced on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar in 1916. Liberty is depicted walking toward the rising sun while carrying branches of laurel and oak.
The reverse features John Mercanti's Heraldic Eagle design, depicting an eagle behind a shield with an olive branch and arrows in its talons and thirteen stars positioned above.
Struck in 99.9% pure silver, the coin contains one troy ounce of silver and carries a legal tender face value of one dollar.
Graded MS-70 by PCGS, this example has received the highest numerical Mint State grade assigned by PCGS. The First Strike designation indicates that the coin met PCGS requirements for certification within the qualifying initial release period.
