2019-W Silver Eagle ANACS SP-70 First Day of Issue

2019-W Burnished American Silver Eagle - ANACS SP-70 - First Day of Issue

Offered here is an authentic 2019-W Burnished American Silver Eagle, struck at the West Point Mint and certified by ANACS as SP-70 First Day of Issue.

The American Silver Eagle has been one of the most widely collected modern U.S. silver coin series since its introduction in 1986. In addition to standard bullion and proof issues, the U.S. Mint produces a special collector version commonly known as the Burnished Silver Eagle, distinguished by its satin-like finish and West Point mintmark.

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's celebrated Walking Liberty design, originally introduced on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar in 1916. Liberty is depicted walking toward the rising sun while carrying branches of laurel and oak.

The reverse features John Mercanti's classic Heraldic Eagle design, depicting an eagle behind a shield with an olive branch and arrows in its talons and thirteen stars positioned above.

The 2019 Burnished Silver Eagle was struck at the West Point Mint and bears the distinctive "W" mintmark. Unlike standard bullion Silver Eagles, the burnished version was produced specifically as a collector issue using specially prepared coin blanks.

Struck in 99.9% fine silver, the coin contains one troy ounce of silver and carries a legal tender face value of one dollar.

Graded SP-70 by ANACS, this example has received a perfect numerical grade for its special strike classification.

The First Day of Issue designation provides additional collector interest by identifying this example with its initial release.
