2005 American Silver Eagle - NGC MS-69
Offered here is an authentic 2005 American Silver Eagle, certified by NGC as MS-69.
The American Silver Eagle has been the official silver bullion coin of the United States since its introduction in 1986 and remains one of the most widely collected modern U.S. silver coins.
The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's celebrated Walking Liberty design, originally introduced on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar in 1916. Liberty is depicted walking toward the rising sun while carrying branches of laurel and oak.
The reverse features John Mercanti's Heraldic Eagle design, depicting an eagle behind a shield with an olive branch and arrows in its talons and thirteen stars positioned above.
Struck in 99.9% pure silver, the coin contains one troy ounce of silver and carries a legal tender face value of one dollar. Standard bullion American Silver Eagles from 2005 carry no mintmark on the coin.
Graded MS-69 by NGC, this example is certified at the near-perfect Mint State level. Coins at the MS-69 level exhibit exceptional overall quality, with only minute imperfections preventing the highest MS-70 designation.
